Airlines have fun banter on Twitter while promoting importance of staying at home

IndiGo, Vistara, SpiceJet, GoAir, AirAsia and Delhi Airport left netizens amused with their fun banter on Twitter.

Several Indian airlines including IndiGo, Vistara and SpiceJet, among others indulged in a fun banter on Twitter which left the netizens amused. Interestingly, Delhi Aiport also joined in the conversation. The tweet exchange took place amid the nationwide lockdown because of the novel coronavirus outbreak. Even the domestic and international passenger flight operations have been suspended because of this.

It all started when IndiGo posted a light-hearted tweet poking fun at Vistara. “Hey, @airvistara , not #flyinghigher these days we heard? #StayingParkedStayingSafe #LetsIndiGo,” IndiGo wrote in a tweet on Friday morning.

Vistara was quick to reply and, in fact, it also invited GoAir to the conversation. “These days being on-ground is a wonderful thing. Flying would not be the ‘smart’ choice, what say @goairlinesindia,” Vistara wrote.

GoAir agreed with the airline and replied, “Staying home is the safe feeling.” GoAir continued the chain and tagged Air Asia.

Agreeing with the airilne, AirAsia said, “for now though, staying at home is the Red. Hot. Spicy thing to do.”

The next airline to join the fun conversation was Spice Jet. “@AirAsiaIndian, good to know our thoughts match, like our colours! Been a while since this bird flew out of her cage. But we’re happy creating a safer tomorrow, today! Right @DelhiAirport,” read SpiceJet’s tweet.

To this, the official Twitter handle of Delhi Airport replied saying, “Agree with you @IndiGo6E @airvistara @goairlinesindia @AirAsiaIndian @flyspicejet, the Indian skies will be coloured with you soon but for now thanks for giving us a reason to smile! Together in the skies, and together on ground too! “

IndiGo concluded the banter saying, “Stronger to have you with us.”

Netizens absolutely loved this exchange. Several users even dropped in comments to share their thoughts on it.
