A mesmerising melange of students, sashaying with style and proudly presenting their creations as they walked down the ramp! The occasion was the annual Kala- The Heritage Show at Maharaja Sawai Mansingh Vidyalaya on Friday. Transcending all barriers of societal segregation and overcoming deep rooted biases, the students of the Vidyalaya exhibited their beginners’ pieces of art- not so perfect but beautiful impressions of their toil and learning!
On display were a beautiful tapestry of Modern and Traditional Art, Clay Modelling, Blue Pottery, Photography, Gardening, House Craft, Woodcraft, Electronic Gadgets, Conservation, Textiles and Printing on the beats of traditional Rajasthani music choreographed by Mr.Robin.
Two senior teachers of the school Mrs Krishna Rathore and Mrs Neeta Shivhare who superannuate this year were also felicitated by the Principal.
In her address, the Principal of the Vidyalaya, Mrs. Krishna Bhati hoped that the students’ creativity will exceed the boundaries of normalcy of the mundane everyday affairs and create something extraordinary, like the 17th century Russian Czar Peter the Great. Eminent educationist Dr. Jayshree Periwal was the chief guest, accompanied by Mrs. Madhu Maini.
Present on the occasion were dignitaries Mrs. Reema Hooja, Sudhir Mathur, Harshvardhan Singh, Neeraj Rathore,Rishi Miglani and Ajay Singh of the Jaipur Royal Family.
